Imagine my surprise when out of the blue Bill Zhang of ZNet Shows contacted me to be on the Tucson Design team for an upcoming bead show. I'm thinking there must be a catch, but no, all I have to do is do my thang with the beads that they send me...free beads...for moi?! Heck yeah, I'm down! He and his team will choose their favorite designs and take them to Tucson to be displayed in their booth for all to see. Cool!
The mix that they sent everyone consists of cultured sea glass beads. Everyone's mix was different so it will be fun to see what everyone designed!
For now, here's what I made:
This is my mix!
Bracelet made with Sea Glass (of course), Pewter butterfly and pewter rounds.
Long, boho chic necklace made with sea glass rounds, a 40x30 stone pendant, and a patina'd charm.
Earrings made with filigree round beads and triangle sea glass.
Will you believe that this is the only pic I got of these because they fell off the table while I was snapping pics and points broke right off? Ack!! And I thought these were the coolest earrings. They are glass...and they fell onto my tile floor so, ya know. :(
Ya'll know vintage is my first love! These earrings are made with vintage opal navettes and matte sea glass tulip beads.
Starfish earrings made with filigree bead caps and matte tulip beads.
Round domed sea glass beads with petite vintage daisies. Romantic yet mod?
I hope Bill and team (and you!) like what I made.
You really went to town with your designs! It's a shame about the triangle earrings, but I'm totally digging the ones with the daisies. Super cute!
ReplyDeleteI love it all, but the earrings that fell are my faves--at least you got a pic first!
ReplyDeleteGreat earrings Anitra.
ReplyDeleteOh, how sad for those earrings, I liked them. Doesn't it just make your tummy upset when that happens? You did a lovely job with your pack. I'm a bit of an earring fiend and love what you did.
ReplyDeleteAll of your pieces are lovely - I especially like the Boho Chic necklace! Good Luck!!
ReplyDeleteLove the pink opal earrings, it works so well with the matte white sea glass. Beautiful pieces, good luck!
ReplyDeleteSo sad about the earrings--they were gorgeous! Very classy designs!
ReplyDeleteVery dramatic with the black sea glass. The earrings that broke were lovely.

ReplyDeleteI really like your mix...Your pieces are beautiful, I love the little daisies on the round beads and the boho necklace... One of my beads broke when I was doing some wire wrapping..but luckily I had more.. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love your pieces! That bracelet is to die for, so sleek and elegant...and the vintage vibe your brought to the pink and white earrings is lovely.
ReplyDeleteOh the black glass is so interesting! It kind of creates this complex feeling of casual but fancy. I think you did a great job!
ReplyDeleteCongrats. Great pieces. I like them all, but it's a shame about the triangle earrings. I only got 4 pieces made with my samples, but had a blast.
