We Have a Winner....Kinda...

Ok, so, a whopping two people voted in my online poll, and, drum roll please...one of 'em was me. I had to make sure this thing was workin'! So, the deal was that I would draw one random winner but being that only one other person voted, they won! Yeah, yippee, and all that good stuff. But, I don't know who you are b/c you didn't let me know that you voted. So, if you're out there, just send me a convo through my Etsy shop and you will be the proud owner of a hair bobbie set made by yours truly, moi. Enjoy!

UPDATE!!!
We did have a winner. BlackCatMima, congratulations! You've already received your bobbies. I hope you enjoy them.

Get Your Daily Fix of Cuteness Right Here!

Ok, so, I'm a sucker for a sweet face, especially when puppies and kittens are involved. I came across the most fantastic website called The Daily Puppy. From a brief glance, it's a resource for dog lovers. Some of the dogs in the photos are adoptable, other already have a forever home. Just a daily fix of cuteness! Check it out! (If I'm not mistaken, all the pups I show below are adoptable!)  Such sweet faces-how can you resist?

Featured Seller: Orange Blossom Crafts

Finally! Here it is. My first featured seller's interview. You can find more from OrangeBlossomCrafts on Etsy.

Q:  I understand that you are a mother/daughter team. Tell us more about yourselves.
A:  Mother is Della, daughter is Laci. We live in Ocala, Florida. We love to make all sorts of crafts and we have started our etsy shop with listings mainly consisting of jewelry but we plan to add different things as time goes by. Della’s favorite pastimes are beachcombing and beading. Laci loves to bead and sew.

Q:  How did you come up with the name of your shop?
A:  The state we live in, Florida, is famous for oranges. The Orange Blossom is the state flower.

Q:  I really like how you incorporate seashells and natural elements into your designs. The use of the guitar picks is cool too. :>) Please explain your creative process, your style, favorite materials, etc.
A:  We love to use seashells, natural stones, and handmade lamp work beads. Della combs many beaches in search of jewelry quality shells. Laci makes the guitar pick earrings. The idea from that came from guitar charms from a local craft shop. We wanted to make earrings out of the charms but due to the gift recipient’s sensitive ears (the guitar charms are NOT hypo allergenic) they had to be backed by something, giving birth to the beaded guitar pick jewelry!

Q:  How does being part of a team affect your creative process?
A:  We always love everything each other makes because all of our items are created with group input. We are always asking each other, “What do you think about this? Should I move anything around or add/subtract anything?” Having an outsiders perspective is always useful and we revel in constructive criticism!

Q:  What more can we expect to see from Orange Blossom Crafts in the future?
A:  We are currently creating a variety of different crafts including seashell picture frames, shadow boxes featuring seashells, sewing accessories, and more!

Q:  Give me one fun piece of info about each of you!
A:  Della: Loves boxers! Has two pet boxers that she coddles all day long and possesses many boxer statues. She is a life-long lover of boxers and raised her children with the loveable animals! Laci: Red bellied Pacu (fish) enthusiast and will try almost any craft at least once.

Q:  I love to read. What book would you recommend to me?
A:  We read books from many genres! For romance: Argeneau series by Lynsay Sands, The Night Huntress Series by Jeaniene Frost.
Mystery: Anything Agatha Christie, especially The Murder of Roger Ackroyd
Young adult: all Harry Potter, Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer, and Fade and Wake by Lisa McMann

If you want to be a featured seller, or want to recommend someone, please leave a comment with the info or email me in my shop.
